Tomini Classics is the Middle East’s premier classic car showroom. The garage provides high quality servicing and restoration services managing the maintenance of all classic, antique and exotic cars. The work ranges in scope from simple tune-ups for cars coming out of storage to engine rebuilds and complete mechanical service.
On average 250 cars come through the garage each year and the team also have a number of comprehensive ground up restorations under their belt. Among those 250 plus post war collectible vehicles, you will find classic Ferraris, Mercedes, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Aston Martins and a multitude of other marques, spanning the decades.
The Garage Manager is responsible for directly supervising and coordinating the activities of all Tomini Garage and the team managing all servicing, repairs and at times restorations; as well as carrying out more complex mechanical work and ensuring the garage operates and delivers to exceptional international standards.
You will be a top performing classic car enthusiast with previous management experience, great follow up skills and the ability to think outside the box.
Ensure that all cars in stock at the Tomini Classics showroom are in optimal operational condition
Research local and international parts sources
Understand the different sensitivities of various classics
Coordinate work activities and identify and review resource needs.
Determine schedules and assignments for garage activities based on work priority.
Ensure that garage is constantly improving based on international standards
Requisition materials and supplies, meeting with suppliers where required.
Inspect and monitor repairs
Oversee employee safety and correct unsafe conditions or violations in procedures and safety rules.
Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinate purchasing and documentation and monitor garage expenditures.
Trouble shoot and repair cars based on test drive
Inspect, test and measure completed car repairs
Ensure that systems are up to date and complete.
Professional Experience Required
Supervisory experience of garage with minimum 5 years in a management role.
Extensive knowledge of mechanics, body repair and detailing.
Experience in independent servicing and maintenance
Interest in classic cars and a commitment to developing competency levels.
Strong time management skills and ability to motivate a team.
Strong organisational and presentation skills.
The ability to multi task and work well under pressure.
